    Help adjusting Everest Aluminium door

Chewa, I know it's been a while but....I wonder if you ever got an answer to your question about possible "Allen Key Holes". I've raised the same question with photos: https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/how-to-adjust-the-hanging-of-this-is-double-glazed-aluminium-door.610009/

How to Adjust the hanging of this is double glazed aluminium door

My aluminium double glazed kitchen door worked well this winter, but last summer and now that the weather is a few degrees warmer, the bottom of the door catches on its lower frame when I open or close the door. To adjust the door to fix this, I am wondering if I can adjust the three hinges in...

Do I need a new Top Oven Thermostat - Hotpoint DW53WS electric

The top oven of our oven only comes on when the temperature dial is set at 140c or higher. I'm guessing that means the thermostat needs replacing. Could it be anything else?

Miele Dishwasher G1143sc - how to dismantle /remove lower rear panel

Talay, Well done. Like you, I replaced the Aquastop Inlet (on 25 March 2021) as posters from other sites suggested that was the possible cause of the fault. Well maybe it could have been, but it wasn't in my case. Doesn't it feel good to have fixed the problem.

Independent Burglar Alarm Servicing - Essex

I've recently moved home where the 10 year old Texecom Premier Elite 48 needs attention. Various Error messages and battery warnings are showing. I can Alarm and Disarm system using either the 4 digit code or the Prox key fob. I do not have any codes. The Texecom alarm was previously serviced...

Miele Dishwasher G1143sc - how to dismantle /remove lower rear panel

In March 2021, Miele told me the part number was 5544031 replacing 5544030. Have you tried UKWhitegoods, eSpares, Spares2Repair Ransomes and even Miele itself. Goggle today shows a website MK Spares that refers to Ireland but I couldn't access that site easily. Today Google shows the part at...

Soft close drawers close too fast

Freddiemercurystwin, I've moved here 2 months ago and these free-standing cabinets were left. They are very solid. All the 14 drawers have operated the same (fast) way. If a drawer was closing while one's hand was there, it could probably result in a nasty bruise. Thanks again.

Soft close drawers close too fast

ER....update.. Thank you very much for the inspiration. I was able to remove the drawer to find the runner mechanism. Taking photographs then using Google Photos and its Lens App, the existing runners were identified as 400mm Undermount / concealed Soft Close runners. They seem to be sold under...

Soft close drawers close too fast

My "soft-close" bedside cabinets close too quickly and with a loud bang. Rubber pads don't help. I cannot see the manufacturer's name nor any way to get to the mechanism. These are solidly built cabinets. I don't know how to fix this.

Are these hinges on my aluminium doors adjustable?

Thank you....I'm guessing your comments suggest there may be some way of adjusting the hinges concealed behind where the edge of the door and the door frame meet. If so, could you give me bit more of a clue...and what are these type of hinges called please.

Are these hinges on my aluminium doors adjustable?

The bottom of my 22 year old double glazed aluminium rear door catches the metal frame when it closes. And my UPVC front porch door, which has the same type of hinges, needs realigning. What are these type of hinges called. If they are adjustable, how is that done. Any tips would be appreciated.

How do I set the two programmers on my CH+HW system

The CH+HW system in my new home has a programmable room stat (a Honeywell CM921) downstairs and a 7 day programmer (a Honeywell ST6400c) upstairs in the airing cupboard housing the HW cylinder. I'm wondering how best to set the CH on periods for the times I choose. For example, is it best to...

Bosch Dishwasher - often stops when filling, bangs then stops

SOLVED: I removed (only the) top and LH side machine covers, replaced the Miele "Board Flowmeter", Miele Part number 5 544 031. Ignore the numbers printed on the part. The part is connected to 2 oranges wires and is readily visible and accessible with the side cover removed. Over time, the part...

Miele Dishwasher G1143sc - how to dismantle /remove lower rear panel

The problem is fixed, for now. The issue appears to have been caused by a faulty Flow Meter Circuit Board (FMCB) that is accessed by removing the left hand side panel of the dishwasher. The FMCB is about 1.5" long by 0.5" inches tall and is connected by two orange wires. Tapping the FMCB hard...

Miele Dishwasher G1143sc - how to dismantle /remove lower rear panel

Good and bad news. Lying the machine on its side, and by removing (only) the bottom from underneath I've replaced the the Inlet (Aquastop) hose and removed and cleaned the drain hose. I've also replaced the non-return valve. Alas, this hasn't fixed the problem. So I am still getting the Inlet /...

https://www.flickr.com/photos/27466575@N03/51067975588/in/dateposted-public/ I am replacing the Inlet Hose with its built-in valve (Aquastop). So far I've removed the rear, side and (outer only) rear panels. But the Inlet hose connects inside the machine. I think I need to get behind the...
