    Internal Sounder Wiring Issue

Just tested the outputs with a muti meter and I'm getting 12v from the outputs, so I'm going to assume the sounder is at fault.

    Internal Sounder Wiring Issue

I can wire the sounder to the output but I have to wire the F terminal (strobe) to 12v (panel) on the control panel then wire the C terminal (sounder) to the 0v (panel) and make a link from the S terminal to the F terminal in the sounder, but I want the strobe and sounder to run independently

    Internal Sounder Wiring Issue

I'll look into getting one, I also want to say that I managed to wire a kinetic external sounder to the outputs and it worked good as gold, I'm really confident it is the sounder not being compatible

    Internal Sounder Wiring Issue

Yes if I apply 12v to the F terminal and connect the 0v to the C terminal.

    Internal Sounder Wiring Issue

I've changed the output polarity from 0=POS to 1=NEG and wired the sounder to the panel as shown in the images, left the jumpers in and still getting the pop sound when the sounder is supposedly active, it also pops again when the sounder is off.

I'll try that, thanks! Can I ask what those are, the resistor things?

    Galaxy FX020 sounder not working

Oh, sounds like it could be a fault... Have you wired the sounder to 12v and 0v to see if it'll work on it's own?

    Internal Sounder Wiring Issue

So after hours of faffing around with the sounder I managed to make a link to the sounder to make the flash and sounder work together but I still want to make the sounder and strobe run independently. Is it even possible?

    Internal Sounder Wiring Issue

Unfortunately that hasn't worked out as I thought it would, when the alarms goes off I hear a popping/crackling sound from the sounder

    Internal Sounder Wiring Issue

Hi, I'm attempting to write an internal sounder to a Honeywell Galaxy FX020 control panel and I want to wire the strobe and the sounder independently rather than make a link from the sounder terminal to the strobe terminal. But it seems I can only wire one of the terminals and not both...

    CQR Piccolo Internal Sounder

I'm still not sure what kind of relay I need, I got the internal sounder, the door contacts and the DC power supply, it's just a relay I'm having trouble finding. Anyone got any suggestions?

    CQR Piccolo Internal Sounder

Oh sorry I did not read the message properly, yes I do. What would I need to do in order to achieve this? Obviously an alarm (which I got) and door contacts

    CQR Piccolo Internal Sounder

If you mean one of those battery powered stick-on alarms, it's not good enough sadly. We need an internal sounder wired up to door contacts and a key-switch insolator. This is because we have children and this alarm is to let us know if someone's gone in/out of the building without us knowing.

    CQR Piccolo Internal Sounder

Hi all, I'm just wondering is it possible to wire this alarm up to a magnetic door contact and a key-switch isolator rather than wiring it up to a control panel like it is intended for? Many thanks, Lewis
