Kitchen wall units + panels either side of hob.

Is this or similar an option - to be on the safe side?

Kitchen wall units + panels either side of hob.

Precisely what I'm trying to avoid. I suppose I need to know from someone who's done this. I've just checked the AEG manual and it says that there should be a minimum of 500mm from the hob to the unit above. I've got 512mm. So technically it looks ok....like I say ...anyone out there done this?

Kitchen wall units + panels either side of hob.

Sure - I could put smaller units either side but I'd prefer not to - there's not a lot of storage space in this kitchen. In the diagram the panel on each side overhangs the side of the hob by 13mm (18mm thick panel minus 5mm either side of the 590mm hob). The kitchen we're replacing has the...

Kitchen wall units + panels either side of hob.

Hi - I'm planning a kitchen with DIY kitchens, which I'll install myself. Over my hob I have planned a 600mm wall unit to house a canopy extractor and this is 68cm above the hob. I have a 450mm wall unit either side, which have 530mm clearance from the countertop. I want to add panels under...

Thanks for this. I get that the temperature change in the morning might lead to moisture but why doesn’t it continue? Any idea?

    Boiler tripping the electrics

It happened during the night again. When I woke up this morning power was off. This isn’t individual circuits - sockets, lights etc but the whole thing. The only things that were in were fridge and computer , tv etc on standby. I switched all back on and then when I turned on the hot tap...

    Boiler tripping the electrics

We had a Worcester Bosh Greenstar CDi installed five years ago - in the summer. As soon as the cooler weather started the boiler would trip the electrics several times a day when we switched on the hot water. The installer came back - couldn’t find anything wrong. Same story every year since -...

How can I clean stabilising solution from my paving?

Hi - I didn't notice that some stabilising solution I was using on a garden wall had splashed onto the paving through a gap in the plastic protection sheet. There is now a stain on my indian sandstone. I've tried scrubbing with warm soapy water and a jetwash but it's still there. It's basically...

Can I attach a suspension trainer to a ceiling joist?

Thanks everyone. I see that this might be an issue as it would need to hang near enough the middle of the room. You can see these things being used by hanging from a door frame or wall but to use them properly you need to be able to be suspended directly beneath the attachment point which would...
