    Increasing Pressure Gloworm Energy 34C

After repressurising the boiler even when bring the pressure up to 1.2/1.3 the display continues to flash and when running hot water, cold water will come out. Rebooting the boiler fixes this. This only happens when I need to increase the boiler pressure. Any ideas based on the above.

    RSJ / Lintel

Hi Sorry it's inside wall 136.8inches and external wall is 198.8 inches. Yes it's about 2 and half bricks each side of the window. To avoid confusion I've kept to inches.

Fitting a bathroom using space from both rooms

I am trying to fit an ensuite for Bedroom 1 utilising space from both rooms. I am trying to work out the best layout where it doesn't look like a box in the room and can integrate with the storage of both rooms to be as efficient as possible. Any ideas :) Thanks in advance.

    Partial Rewire (Ed.)

Hi I am looking at rewiring (Ed.) my bungalow due to the age of the consumer unit/wiring. Is it possible to do a phased approach as I am looking at relocating a number of sockets, doing it all at once would be nightmare. For instance could I get the consumer unit changed first and certain...

    GPlan Table

I moved into a property and the previous owners had left a gplan table (teak wood?) I am looking at tidying it up before selling. I put some danish oil as the table looked a bit dried out. Is there a particular oil to help achieve the same colour as the extension wood (seen on the left)...

I am, the blue line you have shown also is an internal wall dividing the kitchen and living room area that we are looking to remove.

    Floating Corner Post Bi-fold doors

Where the blue line is we are looking to remove the wall which we believe is load bearing and will require a steel, wonder if that would reduce the cost, or increase it.

    Floating Corner Post Bi-fold doors

My understanding is floating corner post is a corner post which is cladded and moves with the bi fold to open up the area (it's not a fixed post)

    Floating Corner Post Bi-fold doors

I have a bungalow and looking at floating corner post bifold doors to see whether it's within my budget. In terms of the structural work required, does anyone have a guesstimate ? Red is...

leak from manhole cover on drive

Local water company came out and said it wasn't their problem. It appears the internal drain brick work needs repairing as bricks had fallen and blocked the pipe. I was advised I should also change the manhole cover to 125(?) as the one there isn't good especially when cars drive over it.

leak from manhole cover on drive

I don't know the answer unfortunately. I've reported it to my water company using their online form and sent some pictures, so will see what they say.

leak from manhole cover on drive

Recently moved into a new property and noticed a intermittant leak from this manhole cover on the drive. The leak smells, so I have a feeling it's sewer related. Is this something I need to fix, or do I need to notify the water company ?

    Autolocking door - replacing handle/lock

We do have a key safe on the side (slightly hidden) but to be honest I always wonder how safe these are and the potential impact to home insurance if someone did break in to the key safe and gained access to the property.

    Autolocking door - replacing handle/lock

Thank you - a follow up question I noticed the external lock isn't flush. Should I be looking at reducing the external size of the cylinder to make it flush - I have been reading that earlier cylinders could be snapped and used to gain entry.
