Screw Stuck - head chewed up

I've been looking into the reviews on these tools - they don't seem to have particularly good results. I'm going to bit the bullet and get a locksmith out. Many thanks.

Cant get the euro lock out

Knowing my luck I will break the door whilst trying to snap the lock. I have two locks to change - this one where it's stuck and won't come out. The other one - I've worn the head on the retainer screw and despite trying the rubber band method very carefully, I can't get it out. I think I'm...

Cant get the euro lock out

OK, I will have another go. Is it OK that I have removed the handle? Also can I use either key end of the barrel to try lining it up, or does it have to be a particular end, ie - the outside?

Cant get the euro lock out

Hi I've watched the videos but I cant get the lock out. I have gone further than the video and actually removed the handle but the lock still wont come out. Should I put the handle back on and call a locksmith?

Hi Looking to buy vinyl flooring for kitchen. Kitchen floor is all nice and level/smooth. I want to put down a vinyl that will hopefully last 7 years. How do I know which is a good product to put down? Have been looking at Onlinecarpets. The backing of these vinyl's is foam. Their cheaper...

Have I used the wrong tool?

Hi I was trying to change a eurocel cylinder in my pvc front door. I used my little impact driver to undo and redo. Something was going wrong in that I couldn't get the cylinder out. I tried undoing another screw but think I have over done it so I have worn the head. Seen the trick to have...

Old glue coming through the cushion floor / vinyl floor

Hi Really interested in how this pans out. I thought my situation was identical but my tiles weren't marley after all. The tiles were a PVC type, circa 1970. I was told the adhesive for these tiles was bitumen. I took technical advise from F Ball, but in the end I just didn't have the time...

How to access Concealed Toilet Cistern

Hi I need to fix my toilet. It has started flushing by itself and also a small constant trickle of water is flowing into the pan. The toilet is about 4 years old. I managed to get a panel off but don't know how to get greater access to the parts. Have attached pictures and grateful for any...

    Have I been told correctly?

Hi, I am fitting a new kitchen I have taken all the cupboards off the walls and removed all the tiles. The tiles were from work top to under the wall units. When I retire, I am only going 2 tiles high, or I may go for an upstand. I have removed about 95% of the old tile adhesive and the...

Old glue coming through the cushion floor / vinyl floor

Hi, sorry to hijack the post. I have the very same, exact situation - kitchen, original old marley tiles underneath (prob 1970s) and staining coming through lino which has been laid over the top. Have looked at the F-Ball Adhesive Isolator Membrane but it is very expensive - about £180 for 7...
