Title say it all - the minimum that I can find in spec sheets is 1.5 bar but you might know differently?

Thanks for the continuing replies. Just to confirm that the work was completed certainly before Nov 1985

Question re extension built in 1985 not signed off?

Ah that's encouraging, it's always good to hear from someone who has actually sold in similar circumstances

Question re extension built in 1985 not signed off?

Thanks for that but the article seems to relate to planning permission (which we have) and doesn't mention our problem of building regs approval

Question re extension built in 1985 not signed off?

In 1985 we had a bedroom built over the garage and the builder also knocked the kitchen through to an area that used to be a passage, coal store and downstairs loo. It was a turnkey job by the builder - planning permission was obtained, plans drawn up and the building inspector made his...

Opinions re the new Worcester Bosch 2000 series combi?

Well it was £686. About £1050 usually and I agree that is too much. It has a long guarantee and I don't think I could have bought anything else decent for that outlay.

    Combi Boiler Back Up Project

You certainly could. The other benefit I am finding is that the hot water comes through much sooner, as the source of heat is close to the place of use - I might leave the en-suite in this mode even when the new boiler is fitted...

    Combi Boiler Back Up Project

Sorry for resurrecting this almost four year old thread but my boiler has broken and I'm using this project in anger - so glad I did it!

Opinions re the new Worcester Bosch 2000 series combi?

Thanks for this. It confirms my decision to go for a Greenstar i30, which I have been fortunate to obtain at a big discount through my son who works for a company related to Bosch.

Ultracom has problems when asked to supply higher output?

Yes, the hot water side always has full power available. If I run the bath tap, then the same fault occurs. As I mentioned, the fault is also with heating but only when I set the boiler back to 24kW.

Ultracom has problems when asked to supply higher output?

This problem has crept up on me. Glow Worm Ultracom 30CXi installed in 2007. I normally run the boiler ranged down to 12kW for heating and there have been no problems. Recently, when taking a shower, the hot water goes cold, maybe hot again once but then the boiler seems to go into "limp mode"...

Opinions re the new Worcester Bosch 2000 series combi?

Could well be in the market for a new boiler. These are cheap for a WB but are they a good buy?

Can original Climapro be used with new Glow Worm combi?

I have a Glow Worm Ultracom 30CXi, installed in 2007, controlled by a wired Climapro. If I were to have new GW boiler installed could I still use the old Climapro with it?

Thanks for the replies. I was concerned that some minor grooves would mean a fail but perhaps I am worrying unnecessarily...

New MOT - Brakes Discs significantly worn??

Sounds very subjective. Anyone know what constitutes significantly worn?

Highest res CCTV camera that can be used with "PAL" input?

Thanks Owain, Latency is a good point that I hadn't considered, however I think I will get away with it as there is no lip sync. It's simply to mount in the bell tower, to show the bells working between services - video only. The bell space is a bit cramped, so I think wide angle will be needed.

Highest res CCTV camera that can be used with "PAL" input?

I have a slightly off-beat application for a church. They require a camera to connect to a Kramer presentation switcher/scaler. It's not a security appliction - it's so the the congregation can view the pic from the camera. The Kramer has four composite video inputs and the specification for...
