    Suspended timber floor vent

Our 1970’s built house has suspended timber floors. In the lounge, we have this vent. Approx. 24cm x 9cm. We’ve got air bricks visible from outside, this vent is the only one in the house and about 2-3 metres away was the gas fire (now removed). What do we think - vent needed to be kept to...

    Tiling over pipe

Wall is (relatively) plumb, the pipe protrudes out about a cm, tiles are approx 8mm thick. Pipe is still live, part of the heating system, so can’t cut the pipe. Wider angle pic for a better view. I thought about carving out some of the back with an angle grinder but tiles are 100x300x8 so...

    Gas fire to electric stove

    Gas fire to electric stove

Here is a picture of the top of the inside of the fireplace - so just wondering if we can cover up this?

    Gas fire to electric stove

Hi, looking for some guidance, this might be long because I don’t know if it makes sense! We had an old gas fire in our 70’s build house which we had removed (and capped off by a gas safe engineer), and were left with an ugly hole in the chimney breast. In the chimney breast is a metal...
