    French door question.

Thanks.... slightly happier at the moment. Spoke to window company .... they are bringing a 175 mm cill with them and say that the specs are based on the surveyors measurements plus allowances for fitting .... Surveyor is also going to talk to my builder. Thank you for all the advice.

    French door question.

Thanks for the response. Without knowing the height of my current window and measurement to the floor how are you able to determine that there has not been allowance already for the height of the cill? I am going to call the company as I am not sure why the spec would not include a cill as...

Removing a built in oven from electrics safely

So removing a kitchen and have the unit around the oven removed. Do not want to kill myself but it would help greatly if I can get this oven out. It is going to the dump as not working properly anyway and about 30 years old. Attached are the photos of what I have. How do I make it all safe? I...

Order of kitchen appliances from pipework....?

Thank you.... that is what seems to have been indicated to me here...... I definitely don't want the pipework inside the cabinets. Did consider a void but it seems under is an option. (Ikea do not have side panels that would allow for a void but i have thought of turning a door round....

Order of kitchen appliances from pipework....?

Yes I am aware of that.... my question was based on whether the advice I have been given to put it on the RHS of the sink.... farthest away from the wall with the plumbing is correct?

Order of kitchen appliances from pipework....?

Main part of my kitchen is going to run along a 5m wall in my kitchen (party wall). The water source coming from the outside is on the right end of the units. It is an ikea kitchen so services will run under the kickboards. My sink is in the centre of the wall. At the moment things are...

    French Door measurement

I would love a builder to come and do this but as I said above struggling! The windows take 5 weeks minimum to make from when they have the measurements … cannot imagine that I could have my home boarded up and secure for 5 weeks (in winter also)… maybe I’m wrong?

Plastic pipe behind skirting - going around corners?

Hi all, Need to move radiators in various rooms in my bungalow. All concrete floors. Been thinking about how to do this. IMHO chasing the concrete will be messy and labour intensive and I will either need to hire or buy new tools. Plus getting at pipework if there are any leaks in the...
