Hi all, Trying to remove ceramic floor tiles in my bathroom. Plumber has previously removed about 10 of them with his very powerful drill and chisel and commented after how hard it was... there are lumps gouged out of the floor in places where he had to get right down below them. I have the remainder to remove and I tried yesterday to little result. I am using a Titan SDS drill and a 40mm chisel. Getting nowhere.... don't honestly think a different chisel would make a difference. Also tried a bolster and hammer and even have hit the tiles with all my force with a 4lb mini sledge hammer and they dont even crack! There seems to be about 1cm of adhesive below them........ big contrast to the wall tiles which I can pull off with a finger! Any suggestions as to what to try... someone suggested drilling into them might help? Would like to avoid having to go hire something as that entitles a 40 min journey each way... but may be my only option? unless you guys know differerent of course....
