Holes suddenly appearing in hydrangea leaves

Hi All On reflection, I think it may have been the terrible sleet we had yesterday. (Spotted some of the damaged foliage on the ground) Will those holes stunt the growth of the flowers? Thanks

Thanks. Just checked (23.47) with a torch and can’t see anything lurking under the leaves. Weird that it/they only started munching last night.

Holes suddenly appearing in hydrangea leaves

Hi All Woke up this morning to find holes in my two hydrangeas. Definitely not there yesterday. We had loads of rain yesterday (and today), so assuming resident slug population? Whether it’s them or caterpillars etc, does 13 May have some special place in their calendar? Views much...

Normally get quite far on 1% Quiz but....

Feel like giving up on adding line to our Black and Decker ART27 strimmer. Used 6m of 1.6km as per manual. Just continually gets stuck on the spool after a few seconds. Sometimes recovers after a further few seconds only to quickly stop again. Note this is not the issue of line constantly...

Removing hardened silicone excess from upvc window frame?

Hi All Update on this. Used chisel to remove the rock hard silicone. Unfortunately, this has resulted in a few cracks and holes where silicone was attached to plaster. The dark area is residual mould from the leak. Cleaning it frequently but guess it could takes ages to dry out? When it’s dry...

    Help with azaleas and fuchsias

Hi Thanks for previous advice on dead heading hydrangeas. We planted two azaleas (first two photos) and two fuchsias (second two photos) late last summer. Neither of the azaleas flowered and just about survived winter. One (photo 2) is particularly withered. Ditto fuchsias. (Photos 3 and 4)...
