No CH (only comes on when DHW is on)

Potterton Prima F (gas) The DHW functions as it should. The CH thermostat was turned down for the summer; when turned up to activate the CH, the boiler will only fire if the DHW is on/coming on at same time as the heating. Where the stat is turned up but the hot water is not on, the...

I'd like to put shelving up in my loft to increase effective storage space. The way i'd like to do this is to screw batterns to the trusses and end wall to support each side of the shelves along their length. What i really need to know is if this is a sound idea, and if the trusses can take...

    Which 6mm or 1/4" ply?

I'm gonna be making a fish-tank cabinet, for which i've pretty much sussed how i'm gonna do it using my minimal carpentry skills. My problem is that i'm not sure what to ask for when i go to the timber-yard (Travis Perkins). I'd like a blemish (crack/damage) free piece of ply that will look...

Silicone over gap at bath edge

Removed a cack sealing strip to find there's about an 8mm gap between one edge of the bath and the tilled wall. I need to know the best way of dealing with this before i spam sealant round the bath. I presume it needs filling, but with what? Thanks Nathan
