Worcester Bosch Greenstar Cdi pressure (no pressure)!

Thanks I've just managed to do it! Hooray! Earlier I'd bleed the radiators upstairs and think that may have been why the pressure dropped, but on the last radiator to bleed the air came out then no water - which is why I checked the boiler and realised the pressure was zero. Do I need to...

Mortar drying out leaving white stain???

We have recently built a wall and used red building sand to mortar the joints. We have also used the same sand to point in between the paving that we have just laid for our patio. Now that the mortar is drying out (24 hours later) there appears to be white stains appearing around the...

Bleeding radiators, air releasing but not water???

Both radiators are upstairs (bathroom and a bedroom). I've tried bleeding with boiler off and then again when on! I know I shouldn't have when on! The boiler pressure is sometimes struggling with low pressure, so perhaps it's this!

Bleeding radiators, air releasing but not water???

Hi, I've had air in some of my radiators (well most!) so I've been bleeding the air our of them but on a couple of radiators (upstairs) I've had lots of air coming out but then the air stops hissing and I don't get any water squirting out that you normally would do. Also the heater is heating...

Replacing Ugly old boards with balusters

Have you managed to get any answers re this yet? I've got the same kind of thing, but I'm worried about doing this as the spindles (balusters) would have to be quite short (cut down to size) for the handrail to fit on my bottom newel post. I'm hoping not to have to remove the bottom newel post...

    Newel post dilema - Newby

I'm thinking of replacing the horrible boards I have with some spindles, however, the height of the spindles will mean that the handrail is too high for my bottom newel post which I didn't want to replace as not sure how to remove this without wrecking staircase. Is there such a thing as an...

Fitting new balustrading/newel post too short

I'm thinking of replacing my old handrail and board, but the bottom newel post that I have seems quite short in comparison to the spindles that I want to fit. Does anyone know if it is easy to remove the newel base post or if there is such a thing as an extension as looking at it, it looks...

    Drilled a hole too big.

Hi I've put up a curtain pole with the centre fixing hole having been drilled too big. I can't move the position of this hole as distance between coving and top edge of window isn't that much. Has anyone any suggestions how to fill this hole and re-do it? I've heard about putting wood...

    Contiboard for wardrobe

Hi, I live in a typical 1930's property and shall soon build some new fitted wardrobes using contiboard. The problem I am finding is that I need to have an end panel but the measurement from floor to ceiling is 8ft 5in. I've looked around but only can find 8ft lengths of contiboard. Anyone...
