Creda T632CW tumble dryer intermittently heating the air

Thanks again Rocks. Yes the condenser is clean. The last load of towels dried OK, after my strip down. I'll have to see how the next couple of loads go. I'll ignore the front (exhaust) thermostat for now.

Creda T632CW tumble dryer intermittently heating the air

Thanks for your quick reply. I can see that when the drum reverses, the power is cut to the element, it's just that it is also being cut during the normal cycle. In some cases it never dries clothes as the heater never comes on. Do you know what the purpose of the front thermostat is and does...

Creda T632CW tumble dryer intermittently heating the air

Hi. My first action, following research, was to replace the two thermostats at the back of the dryer. Unfortunately this did not fix the intermittent problem. I proved that the heater element was working OK, and that the element was getting 240v during a drying cycle. Whilst carrying out this...

I didn't realise this, but learning all the time. Thanks for all the feedback. Much appreciated.

    Programmble room thermostat question..

Cheers Dan and D_Hailsham, useful suggestions. It's clear to me (now) that temp and time control of a heating system go hand in hand (in one controller). I think some people were missing my point about having a programmable temp controller only. It's just that I've got a 'time' control...

    Programmble room thermostat question..

Hi Dan, I see your point. As I tried to explain I want to 'program' the temperature changes, which can't be done with my existing dial thermostat. If there's a thermostat out there that just does the temperature side of things I'd be happy. Do you know of one? Or do they all come with...

    Programmble room thermostat question..

To confirm that I can use a 'programmable' room thermostat to dictate the temperature only, and the existing programmer to dictate the time. I tried to make myself as clear as possible. Sorry if I didn't.

    Programmble room thermostat question..

Thanks for the reply. As I thought, but, is it feasable to make the room thermostat dictate only the temperature, and the Bosstherm dictate the time? That way I could keep all the time functions together upstairs and just the temp control in the front room? I think in reality it should be...

    Programmble room thermostat question..

Any help would be appreciated; I'm looking to replace my honeywell 'dial' room thermostat with one that can adjust the temperature for different times of the day, so that it can be cooler in the mornings than evenings. It is a two wire device, and connects to a BOSStherm central...

Neff Oven U1421 - Burnt element replaced but still no heat!

Update - Well I've now changed the Thermostat for the main oven (temperature-regulator) and despite now making the click when the dial is turned there is still no heat from the element. Lights and fan still working OK. Although it's a different style of thermostat I put the spade connector...

Neff Oven U1421 - Burnt element replaced but still no heat!

Thanks for the reply, the red light comes on OK, as does the fan and oven light, it's just that there's no clicking from the dial when you turn it on.

Neff Oven U1421 - Burnt element replaced but still no heat!

Just a quick update, I've spoken to someone from customer services at Neff who suggested that because I'm not hearing the 'click' when I turn on the dial of the main oven then the fault may be (it still may not be) the Thermostat. Anyone have any experiences of this? Thanks Congers

Thanks for that, I'll take a look tonight.

Neff Oven U1421 - Burnt element replaced but still no heat!

Hi, Could someone please advise on a diagnosis? The original main oven element went with a bang and I've replaced it. The fan and light operate correctly but there is no heat. Read somewhere that it might be the temperature regulator, as when I switch on the main oven, there is no audible...

Mondeo Zetec '98 - intermittent rough idle

Thanks for that Bryn. Just found on another forum that you can run with the MAF sensor disconnected. Tried it earlier and will continue to try it for a few days. Hope this doesn't do any damage to the ECU. Does anyone know if this is OK to do?

Mondeo Zetec '98 - intermittent rough idle

Thanks, not sure if I'm being stupid but I can't seem to find the rubber T piece. Have had a look before, as mentioned in other posts, but there just seems to be a fixed hose running front to back. The engine is a Zetec-E if that amkes any difference?

Mondeo Zetec '98 - intermittent rough idle

Hi, I'm seeking some advice please. My Mondeo Zetec 1.8 has developed an intermittent rough idle, but only when warm, never cold. When I say rough idle, it hunts up and down, occasionally stalling, but sometimes just going back to normal. I've checked for any vacuum hose leaks and found...

    Water staining on white tile

Cheers Moz, In think..... I know the showers not leaking anymore. The prob is that the water's already behind the bottom row of tiles. I think the only way of venting the area behind the tiles is to remove the grout from between the bottom row of tiles. Anyone think this would work??

    Water staining on white tile

Can anyone help? I have just finished tiling a shower, but failed to connect the pushfit connectors correctly at the back of the shower. When I switched on the water supply it obviously leaked and some water has got in between the tiles and plasterboard. As a consequence I've got about a 1...
