    breeze and single layer

I'm really not here to bicker, overelaborate or nosey through peoples other posts, so... Can we agree then that a flemish bond wall will beat the c**p out of a breeze, butterfly and brick veneer wall if they met in a pub carpark. thats the nuts of the issue, thanks all.

Freddy - the fact that the same guy wrote the above and you cant see the inherent contradiction contained therein means you're just about smart enuff to spot a missing comma.

No you numpty i'm saying that theres a fair amount of 'heavy traffic' that is liable to pass by in future, and not every labourer comes to work without a hangover.

    breeze and single layer

Hi folks, neighbours are making an extension, replacing a fence with their wall. All well and good, but i'm looking at the construction of the wall and am a bit worried. The rest of their victorian house is double layered brick. It has withstood direct attack by scaffolding poles and...

I really want to invent something, any DIY starting kits?

the best place to start building things inspired by wylie kyote's aquisitions from acme corporation are in my view...abandoned washing machines (sensors, actuators, pumps, timers, clips, ducts etc...etc...) the impact is useful in dismantling these, and if all else fails it sure makes...

Tiling on chip board previously exposed to water

I cant answer you on that cos i'm not in the trades, but if i did (from what i remember) their floors would all be on the same level and they'd be able to change bathtubs without breaking tanking/tiling. dylan, i'm gonna do something to a bit of chipboard that i havent had cause to try...

Tiling on chip board previously exposed to water

your problem if you really wanted to keep chipboard near water is that you'd have to waterseal behind the chipboard... around all its edges etc, which means taking it it all out to do so.... and waterseal aint that cheap. did you check if the board under the bath rim got rot as well...

    DIY Plaster Skimming

i've tried my hand at many things, but plastering has the toughest learning curve of all - like a cross between a 1hour bout of judo and alternating playing darts/snooker...at the same time. top tip -leave your phone switched off when you start :D
