    Gtech HT20 constant jamming

Ok I'm a dufus. Squeezing in at both sides the very obvious bright green latch at the front you take off the blade section which then uncovers the four other torx screws underneath removing the underneath section. Six plastic tabs can then be eased with a screwdriver, popping the top off and...

    Gtech HT20 constant jamming

Thanks for the reply. Yes that is my last option to replace the head assembly, but I wanted to have a look inside to see if it is just a case that a drive belt or something simple needs replacing

I have a Gtech HT20 which immediately jams as soon as it is used to try to trim anything. I've looked at the blades and nothing seems wrong and they will move ok when not trimming I've tried taking it apart to look at the belts, I've removed all the torx screws on the bottom, but am having a...

    Cracks in exterior render

Thank you for the detailed reply. Think I'll go with the stixall if they are all similar as it is the cheapest. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stixall-Extreme-Power-Ultimate-combined/dp/B0012RT1M8/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=Stixall&qid=1567440465&s=gateway&sr=8-2&th=1 I presume it's ok to smooth the line...

Hi My parents in laws house has some cracks in the exterior render which I wanted to patch up and touch up with paint. See the two cracks below (on the second closeup picture it makes the crack look quite wide but they are only one to two mm wide). Can I just use an exterior caulk like this...

Fix chuck wobble on Ryobi CHI-1802 or replace with CRH1801M

Thanks I was looking at the cordless SDS instead of getting another hammer/combi thinking it would be worth it for quicker/less effort drilling walls. I already have sds bits for my Ryobi mains SDS drill, but was thinking with a SDS cordless it might mean having to get the mains one out less...

    Good exterior combination padlock

I've always used SQUIRE CP50 padlocks http://www.amazon.co.uk/Squire-CP50-Standard-Mystic-Padlock/dp/B002PK0RLU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1324562868&sr=8-1 for exterior combination padlocks at work, but have found that since they changed the design I've had a number where the button you press to...

Fix chuck wobble on Ryobi CHI-1802 or replace with CRH1801M

I have a Ryobi CHI-1802 drill. After a fair bit of use over the years the chuck now has rather a lot of play side to side. When opening the jaws fully there is some sort of adjustment inside which fits a large philips screwdriver, but I am unable to move it. Anyone know how to fix it? It...

    White gloss for school

I’ve always used water based gloss at home for interiors as I find the fumes from solvent based gloss pretty unpleasant to work with and brush cleaning is so much easier. I’ve tried using Crown Quick Dry Gloss for painting interior doors at a school where I work but find it seems to show up...

    removing scratches from slate sign

Thanks for the replies guys, I think I'll try the wet and dry, I happen to have a halfords multipack of 240, 600, 800 and 1200 grit paper. Start with the 600 and work to the 1200 you recon? I presume some slate oil would be good to put on afterwards or is that going to make it too glossy...

    Stain coming off picnic tables

Oops it does as well  That will teach me not to read instructions. Yes to be honest the wood's a lot worse than in the pictures in places and all the benches and picnic tables need replacing, I'm just trying to make them look half reasonable until the school budgets to buy some new...
