    Vinyl flooring in bathroom

    Hi, i am going to be attempting to lay some vinyl tile in our bathroom, is it ok to lay direct onto floorboards or do i need some sort of underlay - ply board or something like that? Is only going to be used for a year or so before the bathroom is completley redone! Thanks in advance!

    Damp patch

    Hi, any comments would be greatfully received. I have just bought a 1950's semi, ive been decorating etc and have noticed a damp patch on the wall in the dining room. the damp is on the chimney breast wall (there is no fire place) about 10 inches above the skirting. Any ideas as to the cause...

    Polycell smooth over

    Am sure youve all seen the latest polycell advert with the ultra easy to use - idiot proof smooth over for textured walls and ceilings, How good is it really? thinking of using it or similar product on my artexed ceiling but dont want to make it worse! is it worth getting a plasterer in to do it...

    I am fitting anew kitchen, the extractor vent is currently about 30cm from wear the new extractor unit will sit, is it possible to re route the extracted air through the existing vent or will i have to make a new hole?
