    how do I cure flaking emulsion above a shower?

    Every time I repaint with emulsion the area above the shower starts to peel and drop off exposing the bare plaster. I have tried to paint a watered down thin coat on first but that does not work. should I try an oil based paint as a primer before the emulsion. Any ideas?
