    cycling eurocombi

Hi Guys, looking for help with my Ariston Eurocombi. I moved into this house a few months back and being a bit of a knob never tested the boiler. It seems that the boiler is about ten years old. It does the cycling thing, i.e. runs 14 seconds, temp needle hits about 90’c then cuts out for...

What Do Professional Plumbers Think Of Push Fit?

hep 20 pipes and fittings are used pretty much exclusively around multi milion pound sailing yahcts for domestic cold and hot water systems and heating with very few problems. The only problems seem to be with poor assembly ie. not pushing them in until they bottom, or not fitting the stainless...

    DIY whole house replumb

Hi guys, I have just bought a 1960’s bungalow and found out that the entire plumbing is dire ( so are the electrics but that’s another issue). I want to replace the dodgy combi boiler with a proper system with the tank, and replace most of the corroded and probably clogged pipes with new. I...

Hi Guys, looking for a second opinion before delving into this head first. Have just moved into a new house fitted with an aprox 8 year old Ariston Eurocobi. I seem to have 2 distinct problems, 1 the boiler is cycling on and off every 25 seconds witch I guess will shorten its life...

    3 phase flex

Hi guys, looking for advice on the following. I have a large 3 phase power supply / charger that will be required for demonstration purposes, it requires 3 phase neutral and earth at approx 16A per phase and has control circuits at 240V. My question is am I required to use armoured cable...

High power supply to domestic garage

They are indeed switch mode supplies, even so they are quite a size. The three phase unit is a monster! I think the 63A supply to the garage would be the one to go for wouldn't you say?

High power supply to domestic garage

Thanks for the reply, Just read the charger manual again, I would need 3 chargers running in parallel, each charger is rated at 24A input at full load (72A). Hence needing a 80A circuit as that is the nearest mcb size. The chargers have an input voltage range of 170V to 265V so obviously...

High power supply to domestic garage

Hi all, Can anyone tell me the feasibility of providing a high power supply to a domestic garage for electric vehicle charging. First choice is a simple single phase 45A supply similar to a shower circuit via an rcd. Second not so easy, would be a single phase 80A supply, I’m assuming...
