Temperature adjust on thermostatic 2 way shower valve.....

Hi all Some advice please. I have a Scudo thermostatic mixer to control 2 way shower and it no longer adjusts for cold water. Is it a valve adjustment or replacement cartridge needed perhaps? I've taken the handle off, photos attached that might help identify root cause?

Thank you Terryplumb. Yes, there is a constant drip when both are off. I'll try the heat trick and if not just replace it all. Thanks again for your time and advice.

Kitchen mixer tap - removing handle!?

Hi there Wondering if someone can help identify how to remove the handle from this kitchen mixer tap? Tap is leaking so I wanted to tighten / check valve etc. I can unscrew the collar to expose parts of the valve, I've tried pulling at the handle and no luck, no caps or hidden screws either...

    Alarm : Unit Low Batt

Hi, given the time of day, I'm awake due to the constant on / off beeping from the 9940 LCD panel, control unit is scantronic 9651. Now I've been on a few forums, and if I knew the code to enter engineer mode then I'd at least be able to join rest of my family and get some sleep....but I don't...

    centre posts or not?

If I bolted the two end rails to the face of the posts unless I then cut the tops of the posts in line with the pitch of the rails then I would end up a straight lip at the open end......

    centre posts or not?

Thanks for the reply foxhole. Maybe my quick (not to scale!) sketch will help clarify. I also have no idea whether brackets are availble to fix all this together i.e. like some form of joist hangers or something, or just screw the wood together. I'm also not sure at the open end...

    centre posts or not?

Hi, if I have some timber (150mm x 47mm x 3 meters long), and I intend to fix it between two 75mmx75mm posts. Will I need to install a centre post? This is basically the open end of a lean to that I intend to build.

Bosch Classixx Washing Machine - No fast spin

Ok, so managed to get the machine on it's side, remove the motor, and took one of the brushes out, had been worn down to under 2cm in length, reckon this is enough to cause the machine not to fast spin? I have ordered some replacements. Out of curiosity, what would an engineer charge (on...

Bosch Classixx Washing Machine - No fast spin

Ok, so just got home and confirm its a Bosch Clasixx 1200 S Express, unscrewed the central plate on the back, could see back of the drum and belt down to the motor. Seemed a little wobbly than expected, but I guess the drum does have some give. Problem: how do you get to the motor? From...
