boiler is a Ideal classic (not a condensing boiler) and it does the hot water and the heating. There is a hot water tank in the airing cupboard and a tank in the loft. The bathrooms are upstairs. The cloakroom and the kitchen are downstairs.

The hot water in the bathroom, ensuite and kitchen runs very slow. There is no problem in the cloakroom. In fact, if the hot water tap in the bathroom is running, you cannot run hot water anywhere else (apart from the cloakroom) as nothing comes out of the tap. Is this an airlock? Thanks...

Took old accumulator tank to tip yesterday. Noticed label on it saying tank should be repressurised every 3 months.... Why? We never did this - basically because we didn't know you had to. Is this why it needed to be replaced when only 4 years old? This is something we could easily do...

Hooray! New accumulator tank successfully fitted and I can now run water without continuous clanking sound. V reasonable labour rates from plumber/heating engineer too.

I got a manual from Ideal themselves. All contact numbers etc are on their website. It took them 2-3 weeks but I still got one.

That's what I thought...... :(

We have a Neff oven B1451. The fan is not working but the oven still heats up - not much good on fan oven setting but can use it as a conventional oven. Is it likely to be the fan motor and is this easy to replace? All help gratefully received. Thanks

Yes, pump does cold water too. We are rural but have a mains water supply. As I understand it , we have a pumped water system because pressure would be low because of the size of the house. It is a bungalow in the shape of an L.

OK, done that and can hear pump cutting in and out all the time. Very loud clunky noise which until about a week ago, we only heard once the water had finished running and it only did it once.

We bled the radiator in our spare bedroom (upstairs) a week or so ago but thats it. We are in a chalet bungalow with one bathroom upstairs but another one downstairs as well as kitchen. Is there anything we can do without getting anyone out?
