    Timed FCU

I've never used it but Drayton Wiser have a product exactly for this purpose - not with a physical timer onboard, but designed to connect to a smart system, e.g. the Wiser home hub. Edit: I think you would need a Wiser hub (i.e. heating/HW programmer for boiler) with it, it wouldn't function on...

    What is this?

I think 333rocky333 is in to something there. This code number is one digit out from that in the photo: (C instead of B) but, Pics on ebay suggest the 427479B has the pullcord in the bottom right corner, so it seems consistent with the photo above.

Is it safe to change this molded American plug (electric kettle) ?

I don't think that can legally be sold in the UK.

Nigel Farage admits his election promises were bogus

Chosen at random: Birmingham Council for 24/25. I think you need some better evidence for your statement.

Nigel Farage admits his election promises were bogus

And your point is? If those are pensions that have been promised to those workers, then they should be upheld. Do you disagree? Incidentally, the majority of public sector pensions are tiny, a few thousand a year. (For context, there are around 315 councils in England alone.)

Nigel Farage admits his election promises were bogus

So you don't actually have an opinion on WFA. Do you hold an opinion on anything? Or are you just anti-Labour? Or anti-politics in general? Complaining about everything at your local Wetherspoons. And no, I am not a member of any political party. Really intelligent conversation you have.

Nigel Farage admits his election promises were bogus

It may be an easy comment, but its reality. We won't get Scandinavian levels of public services without paying for it. What the UK always seem to want is everything for nothing. I know quite well some local councillors (on both (major) sides of the political spectrum) and they work bloody...

Nigel Farage admits his election promises were bogus

I see you haven't answered the question. You just want everything to work well and not have to pay for it. Edit: and to clarify my view: I do think it about time we got rid of the WFA and better targetted to those that need it. Pensioners get far better protections that young people starting...

Nigel Farage admits his election promises were bogus

VAT on Private Education was in there. Tick Moves to renationalise the rail network. Tick. They can't put every decision about tax choices, made twice a year for five years, in a manifesto. Rather stupidly, they have committed themselves to not raise taxes on personal income, which was silly...

But why were Wagos required? Surely it would get wired in as normal to the FCU?

    Airlock in electric shower

I'm not an expert, but isn't an electric shower like this designed to operate with mains pressure cold water, not cold water fed from a header tank? There won't be anywhere near enough flow. Edit: my mistake, on looking at the instructions in does appear to intend to be pumped from a header...

    Dry radiators not heating (Ed.)

Not a plumber or heating engineer but you probably need to give more information. Is your flat's heating system self-contained, i.e., you have your own boiler to provide the heating or is it a communal system of some sort? And if you do have your own boiler, what is it, e.g. a combi, or do you...

    Dark stain on insulation

Look more carefully for droppings. In the middle of your most recent pic, on the insulation, there is something that looks like a black grain of rice. (It would be about the same size too - I can't tell how zoomed your photo is.) Are there more of those around?

    Drayton Lifestyle LP722 timing issue

    Moving ceiling rose

This all seems complicated and too much wire. Wouldn't it be better to put one of these in the loft at the location of the existing rose, and then simply output a single T+E from this to the position of the new rose?

What cable to extend a Tesla mobile charger?

I guess another issue with the letterbox: if it is dark and there's a fire in your house due to some overheating electrical component, can you still safely open the door while a cable is running through it and escape?
