    I had this same problem a few months ago, especially on the hot. How is your pressure ? Mine was very high, about 6.5 bar,. I installed a pressure reducing valve taking the pressure down to 3 bar and this sorted the problem. Fred

    3 bar is more than good enough for most needs, remember that this equates to 30m of head, should be plenty.

    Why not install a Pressure Reducing Valve on you incoming mains, they are generally preset at 3bar, altho can be lowered further. Available from A Plumbers Merchant, and very easy to install.

    Go to a decent Plumbers Merchant and ask for Fix-A-Tap. Its a kit designed for this problem, comes for basins, baths and sinks Hope this helps

    Mixer shower on a combi

    Hi all and thanks in advance for any replies. If installing a mixer shower from a combi, would it be best to connect as close as you can to the boiler ? ie before any taps. Would this help to reduce loss of pressure if other taps where opened ? Boiler is a worcester 28i Cheers again.

    As far as I am aware you only need to be corgi if you are going to disturb the gas "train" ie anything carrying gas, products of combustion or safety devices.
