i have plugged the boiler in joined up the two wires and the boiler fires up then flame goes out after 5 seconds , ok what is the best thing to try next

flue goes straight through wall no problem also fan pushing air out of flue ok , the gas is propane and does fire up so there must be pressure for it to fire up, could it be electrical fault pcb or thermostat etc as it is only firing up when on central heating and hot water demand button...

just fixed the heat exchanger on boiler it was leaking badly due to being fitted loose so took it off and refitted so leak is now sorted, further inspection i noted the water pump connections where weeping water so i have taken the pump of cleaned up the threads and hey presto the boiler is not...

can i use two straight 15 mill compression fittings to extend the pipe by 1 metre in lenghth to connect a lpg bottle to a gas water boiler, and if so are they different from the standard compression fitting for 15mill hot and cold water

well im guessing its a 20 mm as ive tried a olive from a 22 mm fitting which was too big and a 18mm which was to small, is it best best i ask for a 3/4 olive and try that

i have a 20mm olive which fits on to a old water pipe, can i use this along with a 22mm straight compression fitting with ptfe tape to make a lasting watertight seal and join up the pipework to enable me to continue with modern metric copper pipe

perhaps i was a bit ahead of my time suggesting to use flexi pipes so perhaps the training centre will blow off thier doors then below is a print off from the vokera training centre who use Flexi hoses--well well so looks like i could have used them after all without blowing up...
