Would you buy a Worcester 24i/28i Junior?

This reminds me of the car forums, where you get bitter and agressive comments from BMW owners slating Mercs, and Merc owners slating BMW's as pieces of junk. As an engineer and having worked on and driven both, both make some nice driving cars and both have interesting technical and design...

Would you buy a Worcester 24i/28i Junior?

The current one is a Protherm 80E (not an 80e, that's different). no idea what kw it is and don't care really, so long as I can run a monsoon shower and 4 rads off it, that's sufficient. So far I have had various faults and successfully fixed each one (PRV leaking, overheat thermostat failed...

Would you buy a Worcester 24i/28i Junior?

If it's got a 5-year guarantee then won't that mean he'll be waiting a while?

Would you buy a Worcester 24i/28i Junior?

Greetings - one to those that have them/work on them, I'm fed up with continually having to repair my no-name italian can't-get-any-parts 10 year old combi. I'm looking at a 24i junior but have a monsoon shower (not power) and good mains water pressure, I see it's hot water flow rate is less...

Steam/shower room, steam generator has two inlets - which?

Nope - that one looks like it's fed by just one water supply, T'd off one of the inlets to the shower unit mixer. You can see the shower unit mixer's other inlet pipe the other side is not connected to the steam unit. My steam unit looks similar, only it's mounted flat under the bath not...

Steam/shower room, steam generator has two inlets - which?

Hi guy, I have a steam/shower room of an ebay special variety (don't have a go, I have it now!) and it has 4 flexible pipes to connect to the water: One hot and one cold that supply the shower/bath etc. Two pipes that lead UNMARKED to what looks like a 'T' connector on the inlet to the...

How/What do I paint glass with???

Okay I can do that. But please, I don't want to see though the side of the shower. I personally dislike it, everything else other than the front is boxed in white, I don't want this one window to stare out of at some tiles or whatever else I put behind it, regardless of how nicely it was...

Where to find twin 15mm brass tap connectors, & 32mm hol

Um... british taps have the same connectors, what if I wanted to fit two sets of taps nearby???? These connectors are exactly the same as any other, not quite sure how it's origin will make any difference. But... I do prefer british, when there is the option eg when I can find the same type...

How/What do I paint glass with???

Well... given that a) I have a glass panel b) my goal, is not to see through it c) it must be white What can be suggested? I have seen glass whcih has had vinyl stuck on the other side and such and that looked just like a plain white panel, looked great. But I have no idea about...

Where to find twin 15mm brass tap connectors, & 32mm hol

would I really have to go to space? And shouldn't I leave the manifold on my car? Seriously - do I have to mangle something up can't one just buy a twin outlet that I can put onto 15mm pipe by solder or compression? Can never find what I want... mutter... less joints less chance of...

Where to find twin 15mm brass tap connectors, & 32mm hol

Unbranded chinese 9012 1500mm sauna/steam/shower room. Has two sets of flexi braided 15mm tap style pipes to connect, long ones with female 'nuts' on the end to screw onto the water supply. 4 pipes total. Greg.

How/What do I paint glass with???

The bottom of the unit sticks out quite a way, then there is skirting etc. So maybe, but a bigish job that I really don't want as I don't want to be able to see through the panel, just like I don't want to see through the back panel when I'm inside (but luckily the back panel is plastic)...

Where to find twin 15mm brass tap connectors, & 32mm hol

Hi guys, Putting a feed in for a new shower, I have hot and cold 15mm coming up the wall. The shower unit then demands FOUR connections, each is a 15mm flexi hose with screw on connector. Two for the bath two for the shower, designed so you can pull the unit out still connected. Problem...

How/What do I paint glass with???

Imagine the back of your shower is clear. Even if you make good the wall, 2 years later behind the glass is full of dust and spiders and you stare at that..... This unit boxes in that corner of the room. I can't get to it. I need it to be white, like the rest of the shower, but it's a...

How/What do I paint glass with???

Problem - new all enclosed shower unit. Realised that it has a clear side panel, the one facing the part of the wall which needs to be hidden (no tiling/some services/brick etc - not good to look at). Even if I tiled the wall, it would get dusty/full of spiders and you would view that...

10mm microbore rad system, can I fit towel warmer with 15mm?

lol love your style ;-) It's 830w (2850 BTu's) but as Tony says it's not going to do much if it's covered by towels. It has a purpose, I'm fed up with a wood towel rack in the middle of the room and fed up with damp towels. What I'm not convinced of is that it will replace the rad, so I'm...

10mm microbore rad system, can I fit towel warmer with 15mm?

Hi guys, With the bathroom floor out and joists just replaced I'm also upgrading from a radiator to towel rail. The rads run on 10mm microbore to 15 or 22mm copper. It would make it a lot easire (due to bits lying in my box) that I fit the new towel rail with 15mm copper from the 15/22 main...

Protherm 80E expansion vessel, where is the valve???

Hehe, like the way you put it. Well first off I was letting the pressure out of the cold ch by opening a rad bleed, the pressure was dropping slowly so while waiting I let the pressure out of the expansion vessel. The system pressure instantaly dropped by 0.5 bar - indicating that the flex...
