07 kia picanto cant remove alternator

I have a 2007
KIA Picanto
1 Litre

The alternator needs replacing and ive managed to get it loose but i cannot get it out of the engine bay. Ive tried jacking the engine up but it didnt help. Unbelievable, its like its trapped in there. Tried up and down and both ways there seems to be too much stuff in the way.

The trend these days is to design everything using computer aided design, when the engine with all ancillaries come together during manufacture, as long as there is clearance, that is all they are concerned about, no regard given to future maintainance, dropping the engine out might be the answer.
