been workin on a baxi 105e today which needs a new calorifier (not transferring the heat) what i was wondering is do they have a return filter and where exactly is it? is there one in the return isolation valve or the manifold? thought it mite be a idea to check it!

Yes, some do anyway - undo the nut(s) pointing forwards on the return isolator elbow union thingy.

It should be fitted or the return on the right.

Many I see are fitted on the flow instead though.

However I dont see the connection with your "calorifier" !

iam guessin theres muck lining the inside of the "plate to plate heat exchanger" effecting the heat transfer. so if there's muck in that they maybe muck in the system and while its drained i might aswell check the filter

You had better check its on the return and change it if not!

The return filter should keep the dirt out of the plate HE but it does not always do that in practice!
