1 large or 2 small rads?

We've just had a new kitchen/diner extension built with an area size of 18ft x 16ft, we only have 1 wall available to hold a radiator are we better off with 1 large rad or 2 small rads or does it make a difference as long at the BTU output is sufficient.

If you think about it, how can you best get the heat to the whole room? The best answr is of course underfloor but then you may not have that option. Spreading your heat sources around the room must be a next best the mustn't it?
 
With condensing boilers you need a 20 degree drop between flow and return, which often causes noise with small radiators. More smaller radiators spread the heat if you need that.
