1 Pull switch operating 2 lights: one pull turns one light on and the other light off / vice-versa

Hi all

I currently have one light in my loft operated by one pull switch and I wanted to add an extra light operated off of the same pull switch.

I've managed to wire it up so that both lights work, however when I pull the switch it turns one light on and the other one off. Another pull does the same but in the opposite way - mening that at least one light is always on(!)

It's currently wired up as per the diagram. How do I fix this so that one pull will turn both lights on and off together?

Well - it would, wouldn't it?

Connect both light wires to the same switch terminal.
