Hi,

Originally put this up in plastering but realaised decorating may be better suited!

I'm decorating my living room and a part of the coving has cracked and warped beyond repair - only about a metre of coving.

I want to buy similar coving to patch thi sup and would prefer not to cove the entire room as the rest is in decent condition.

The problem is I can't seem to find any similar coving, it is a simple concave coving, no steps, with projection and drop of 100mm.

I have seen coving in the usual diy shops, b&q, wickes etc which is labeled as 100mm but I don't think this relates to the p&d.

Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks,
Graeme

When you measure coving you measure it from the ceiling edge to the bottom edge but you include the curve as well by pushing the measuring tape into the curve.
So measure whats already up and go down to wickes and take your measure with you. 100mm coving is very common

I'll give this a go and see how I get on. Although looking at other websites it seems the 100mm they have relates to curvature and not the p & d.

Hope I am wrong!
