110 volts versus 220 volts, Japan versus Europe

I used to live in Japan, and at that time we purchased a really nice contemporary halogen chandelier. The voltage in Japan is 110 volts. I will soon move to Europe, and I would like to use our chandelier. Is it sufficient to change the halogen bulbs from type 110 volts to 220 volts, or do I have to do something more? This is probably a ridiculous simple question, but I would appreciate an 'enlightening' reply. Many thanks! Stride, from Jakarta, Indonesia.

it should work with just the bulbs changed (unless its really shoddilly built) but it may not meet local safety regulations in the country you are taking it to (if its for your own use i wouldn't bother too much about this but i'd be very wary about selling it).
