Hi, can anyone advise/ recommend a led replacement for a 110v 15w pygmy lamp used on a central battery emergency lighting system ?

Your input is appreciated.

Thanks,

I know you can get 8w fluorescent luminaires which work on AC/DC 110v. If you look for SLAVE emergency luminaires you should find some. Not seen an LED version yet, the LED one's I have seen tend to be self contained.

obvious questions

1: is the system always AC? always DC? DC when on battery but AC when on mains?
2: is replacing the fitting acceptable or does this need to be a plug in solouton?
3: why LED?

Hi,

The system is constant DC.

Happy to replace the fittings as they are on plugs.

LED due to reduced maintenance and lamp replacement.

Thanks for your interest.

I'm not a great fan of LED lighting, you'd think they'd last for years but in reality they don't, they fade down over time.
I'd stick with 8w tubes, easy to replace.

Hi, solved - Orbik lighting have a great range of LED 110v down lights which are suitable for emergency use.
