12 Litres Per Minute - OK for a combi?

I wanted to update this thread in case anyone else discovers it - we went with a combi in the end and 3 months in couldn't be happier.

We can run 2 showers perfectly fine and haven't had any issues in that regard. The space saving in the loft and cupboard has been very useful and our costs have reduced significantly. It's nice to not have to be putting the water on and having an endless supply seems like a big quality of life improvement.

We had a couple of leaky rad valves and some issues balancing the rads (they switched the direction of flow) but all working fine.

We never did figure out why the outside tap is 20 l/min and inside is 12l/min but our showers are plenty good enough coming from 3l/min.

My mains is 8C just now so 30kw will give a flowrate of 13.4LPM at 40C, if using both showers together then 6.7LPM each, do you use both together?, if so, have you restrictors installed in each shower to limit the flow to ~ 6/6.5LPM each.

No we have nothing special installed. It's not often we do it but we've had 6 or 7 showers run at the same time with no issues. Flow is marginally worse but still far more powerful than our old ones which were 3l/min

Are you saying that with the new boiler they have sent the water around the system the opposite way to before. So the flow is coming out of the boiler and going to the radiators along what used to be the return pipe. Did they say why they did that?

It seems so - based only on the fact our rads work the 'wrong way around'. Our lock shield caps are on the flow side of the radiator. They did not warn us or tell us, so it could be that it's always been this way but pretty sure we'd have noticed.
