12 volt ride in Toy Car potentiometer

try 4qd they make speed controllers and I've used them in the past for kiddie-cars,

they do a simple 12v version which would be ideal for you.

Alternatively try reallifetoys (they make the toylander)
I know for a fact that they sell a soft start unit, which again may suit your needs

How about ringing the mfr and asking them to explain how their product is fit for purpose?

Run it till the batteries are low on charge - it wont go so fast then :D

Can anyone tell me ampage I need for the type of device I mentioned.. or does it not matter..

I've seen 5amp / 15 amp and 30 amp versions....

Its to control the speed on 12 volt twin 35watt motors..

Thanks

BTW thanks for all the solutions offered...

I'm afraid I found both 4qd and realife toys a little expensive for my requirements..

wow..! thanks for that..

If my inputs are correct then I need something which handles just under

6 amps.

cheers
