Guys,

Trying to fit a 3 hole basin mixer for a customer, unfortunately the pipework connecting the taps to the spout are slightly too short.

I believe it's 12mm copper, been to all my usual merchants but had no luck what-so-ever.

Do any of you guys have a spare half metre or so I can purchase? If not can you suggest an alternative to using copper?

Customer is not happy, I'm caught in the middle as the tap can not be returned as it was a special order.

Cheers,

Mark

It's a no can do.

The length of the pipe needs to be about 120mm long and requires a slight bend. Using reducers would not allow this.

Pair of flexi tap conns? Screwix used to carry them in 10 and 12mm (into tap tapping - to 15mm aprox 300 mm long) but they're not in latest catalogue. Atlas bathrooms in manchester carry them as stock.
If you are really desperate I do have a coil of 12mm somewhere...
I'm in W/Yorkshire tho....

I've seen these connection made with thin flexis - but dunno where you might get them.

What area are you?

i take it's 12mm both ends you need, if youre really stuck you could

cut the 12mm in half and use a cutting of 15mm as a sleeve then

solder it..

Thats why 90% of the time I get the customer to supply sanitary ware and tiles, nearly always something not right, it's their problem to sort it out then,
if the taps and basin came together it's up to your supplier to sort out why the taps dont fit the basin.

Lots of places eg BES.LTD.UK do the screw-in flexies, as well as eg

6773
15 mm x 12 mm coupling
£0.61

so you join up in 15mm.

I think some mono block mixer tap tails are 12mm. your merchant might stock these.

Thanks for the replies guys.

It's not 12mm flexi tap tails I'm looking for, it's simply 2 small lengths of pipe that connect the tap heads to the spout (each needs to be approximately 12cm long). The connections between the heads and spout are 1/2". Flexi tap connectors are just too long.

Given that the pipe needs a slight bend to it, it is not practical to indrease the pipe length to 15mm.

I'm in Leeds myself, so if any of you know suitable places to buy such small lengths of pipe (in metre lengths) I'd really appreciate it.

YOU've lost me. I can't see what you're trying to connect now- 12mm to 1/2" ??? Why is a flexy too long?

If it has to be plain copper, woss rong wiv

15653 12 mm x 2m £3.47

??

Hadn't realised that BES sold it in such small amounts.

Think I'll get it ordered in the next day or so.

Cheers
