Ok so, had a leak in bathroom, kitchen is directly below bathroom, 3 down lights no longer work due to leak (3 in a straight row), will there be a seperate transformer for these 3 lights or will other 3 remaining lights be wired through same transformer?
Part if ceiling is coming down tomorrow to stop pinhole leak so ideally want to repair ASAP before reboarding part of ceiling
Apologies if silly question but totally inexperienced
Thanks in advance

There may be six transformers or two or three.

From what you say, maybe two with three lights each.

As above the number of transformers will depend on the allowable load of each transformer, it is common now to have individual transformers for each lamp but it could be possible the multiple lamps are on one transformer.
You should not need to drop the ceiling to gain access to them through, they should be accessible the fitting hole or possibly a trap made in the floor above.

There may not be any transformers. Switch mode power supplies are often used instead these days.

But whatever the only way to know what is what is to look.
