150w bulb cause blown

fuse in cu ? The bulb clicked ..died ... lights went out .

Should fuse be replaced with mcb/rcd or keep wired fuse ?

1) Fuses are generally reckoned to be less likely to operate when a bulb goes than MCBs..

2) You should read up on the differences between MCBs and RCDs...

WTF have you got a 150W filament lamp anyway? If you require a lot of light in a particular area install a Twin 5ft Florry (2x58W Tubes). Thios will give you a lot more light than a single 150W filament, will be cheaper to run, lower maintenance costs and will not blow a fuse..unless a major fault occurs of course...

If you but a decent Thorn unit then it will have High Frequency control gear..and this will not be an issue...
