I'm re-piping the rad in my living room which has been re-skimmed... I want to put the rad feed and return behind the skirt to keep things neat. The rad is too big for 10mm pipe to cope. What clips are available to keep the boxing out as thin as possible? Ideally a double clip. I have some with snap over retainers but they stand off far too far... Anyone suggest anything...?

2 copper saddle clips overlapped and put 1 screw through the middle hole to keep it neater, as the pipe will be against the plaster put a thin strip of wood or plastic as a spacer to stop the pipe corroding

Its not actually on the plaster, ive chased out back to brick behind the skirt. Hadnt thought about copper clips would these need plug and screwing or nailing? Would DPC plastic do along the length maybe. Only thought of the plastic clips with stand off so the pipes didnt touch the concrete and make any noises?

screw and rawlplug them even against the brick i would tend to put something behind the pipe, thin strips of rubber etc would cut out expansion noise, just remember they are there when you nail the skirting next year when it gets loose!!!!!!!!!
