17th Edition - RCD requirements and concealled cables

522.6.6 will nearly always be employed on a domestic installation and 522.6.7 says "a cable installed in accordance with 522.6.6 (v) and not complying with 522.6.6 (i) (ii) (iii) or (iv) shall be provided with rcd" etc

ie a cable in the safe zone but not mechancically protected by an earthed means. because the expense and problems with 522.6.6 (iv) needs an rcd. lighting to because of switch drops.

Yep, that's what I'm trying to say!
Domestically 522.6.6 (v) will be the most common method meaning RCD's will be required due to the installation not being under the control of a skilled or instructed person.
