1964 soffit

My parent's house was built in 1964, is it likely to have asbestos soffits ?

Some years ago, before I knew better, I drilled a couple of holes in it to get a tv aerial cable through; I wasn't underneath it, I leaned out of the gap between the window and the frame and the dust just dropped away (I held my breath whilst doing it and washed the dust off my arm)

What are the realistic chances of it affecting me in later life ?

(and please don't call me daft, I'm sure a lot of us have done daft things before we knew they were dangerous)

You have breathed in more asbestos fibres floating about naturally in the air than you have from those holes.
