1997 Ford Escort estate Rear Wiper & Heated Window Fault

Hello Guys.

I have just got my Car through its MOT and now find that my Heated Rear Window & Rear Wiper are no longer working. On the first test it failed on Hazard Lights and Horn not working. The Garage fitted a new Horn and a Hazard relay switch. Unfortunately I only checked the Horn & Hazards were working & didn't check everthing else. Could there be a connection between the 2 types of Fault. Should I take it back to the Garage and complain.

maybe a fuse has been left out or removed, its also worth checking the contacts on the rear door for signs of corrosion as these can give trouble

also might be worth checking the wires inside the rubber boot,when you open the hatch look around for a corrugated rubber sleeve,inside you will find the wires,sometimes they fray and break.
