Thanks Ken, I will have a look at that site. When you think, it's only about 25 yrs ish ago, and in that time the insulation has really moved on.
Would like to think that it has 50mm but not with my luck!
25mm thick insulation boards were also prone to breakage while being handled on site if I remember correctly.
I think Berkeley built higher spec homes so it could well be 50mm floor insulation.
Anyway there isn't much you can do about it unless you dig up the floor.
Yes, I understand that. I was just trying to find out if / how thick the floor insulation might be. Got to say that I like your point that B H might have built to a higher standard , thanks Leofric.
