2 gang cooker switch

Should be an easy one...

I understand 2-gang should mean two switches, but I am looking at a 2 gang cooker switch with one physical switch.

In this instance does that mean it is made to wire in two appliances.

Just that it goes in a double box, so there is room for big wires
