Moved in my house a year ago and got a plumber to fit 2 new rads in the extension, he fitted them with TRV's...last week i had a few trv's removed as i'm not a fan of them and every time the water is heating, the 2 new rads and none of the others get hot..? They both work fine with the heating thermostat
Have they been piped in correctly or is it a valve issue..?
I have a conventional system ( non combi )

Depends where he has joined them onto the system the return pipe from the cylinder should be the last tee back into the boiler return, or more likely he has joined them in to the cylinder pipework, difficult to say how to fix without more information .

+3 for a pipework fault!
a few years ago I had a similar problem, I moved a return pipe 1 meter to restore the correct return protocol and all was well!

+4 unless you`ve got a strange case of unwanted circulation ( thermosyphon ) I encountered it once in a fairly large house - most of the rads ran by themselves ( you have a job designing a non pumped system  ) There was no gravity( circulation ) check valve to the upstairs rads , but the whole flippin place was warming - would have expected the upstairs ones to . Fitted the valve and all was well
