UK light controlled by 2 interdependent switches.

Switch 1 wiring configuration:
L1 red, L2 black, common chunky grey

Wall switch 1 also has a 2nd switch to power light 2 in the same room which I want to keep.

A link connects both common inputs together
light 2 has L1 red and L2 black

Switch 2 configuration for the 2 way switch:
Top common is that chunky grey wire
L1 is black, L2 is red

Switch 2 also powers a different light '3' in the next room which I want to keep. (I want to replace this entire double wall switch with a single on/off switch for light 3 only)
There is no link connecting common to common in this switch.

Switch 2 light 2 configuration common black, L2 red

Any help would be gratefully received
Cheers

Your post is hard (for me) to decipher. I nearly get there, but lose interest before I get very far.

Could you restate, using the following frame of reference?

1. How many switchplates there are.
2. How many switches there are on each plate.
3. Which switchplate you want to change, and in what way.
4. How many, if any, switches you want to eliminate.
5. Whether any of the existing switches is/are two way.

Ta.
