Hello all - some questions I have been thinking over I could do with your expertise on please.

I have a PSU200XP panel that I would like to connect 2 Odyssey external sounders to. I believe there is enough current supplied from he PSU200XP for them to both be connected as SAB as I only have a single keypad, two motions and three heat detectors connected.

Questions as follows:
1) Am I okay to run both as SAB or have I got my maths horribly wrong here.
2) I am running the tamper back to the Aux input on the panel, I believe it provides a -ve signal. If I wire both back to this terminal surely I won't get tamper events reported as if one stops providing a -ve, the other still will be so the expander will think it is not in tamper. Is there a second input I can use? I notice the Aux has two terminals, but I have only ever got this to wotk with one of them.
3) I have wired the sounders for power to the 0v and 12v terminals on the left psu PCB on the expander box - I was doing this because I thought it would handle the current of both bells better but I'm now doubting my decision. the right way to do it or should I be wiring to the Aux +v and -ve of the expander PCB instead.
4) Does the tamper relay do the same thing and should I wire that to a zone for each instead of the tamper terminal? My concern with this is a simply dont have enough wires though I could try to make some changes or run new cables but would rather avoid.

Thanks all

it will be fine on sab i normally wire one bell into aux input on the expander and set it to bell …you can also use a spare tamper zone on the expander , link out the zone and connect into one of the tamper terminals ( get your multimeter one probe on 12+ , now put the probe on one of the two tamper terminals …one will give you a 13.8v reading the other won’t …use that one ) and program the description as bell 2 or what ever

Brilliant - I think this is what I am looking for, some follow ups if you dont mind please:

1 - Is it okay to connect both the bells to the aux 0v and 12v on the PSU side or should I connect to the expander aux power? or one of each?
2 - I think i understand about using a zone but to check, I just connect the tamper terminal on the bell to a zone terminal (the one that is not 13.8v) - is that all there is to it? Wasn't sure what you meant by 'link out the zone'
3 - Is this a better way to do it than using the aux input for both bells so they can be named properly? I have other expanders with single bells elsewhere - should I move those to a zone?

Thank you again sparkymarka

Right. I reread a couple of times and o get it now.

Bridge the zone terminals, wire the tamper to the tamper terminal that is not 13v when probed against 12v aux. Programme zone to tamper and double pole/eol.

All works great. Thanks so much.

One follow up - is it right to set the zone as tamper?

Thanks again
