2 Way Switch

Hi, having a little issue when fitting a replacement double switch (controls two seperate lights) can't figure which cable goes where?? photos below, any advice gratefully received!!

New Switch;

Original Switch;

The red cable goes to common ,and the short red goes into each common.
The yellow to L 1 on one switch .
The blue to L1 on the other switch.
The earth conductors ( green / yellow sleeved) go into the earth terminal on the galvanised box.

Turn the power off and prove the circuit is dead beforehand.

If you then feel that on of the switches is upside down,
for that switch move the wire that is in L1 into L2.
