2003 Ford Ka battery removal

Guys, a simple job but the bracket that holds the strap round the battery has a long bolt with the nut about 25mm down the thread . So it needs a deep socket, not sure of the size, maybe a 12mm ? and I'll have to buy a deep socket as I don't have any. Any help gratefully received. ;)

saw a bit off the bolt.

Can't you get a spanner on it?
 
If its a 13mm nut, this will do or a 1/2 drive version if you have 1/2 sockets.

A 2003 reg will be a mk1

Yeah, but I might have bought a 12 and a 13 cuz I wasn't sure of the size.:mrgreen:. If the boot fairs were still going I'd have looked there for one @ 50p. I get in on pensioners discount too ;)
