I HAVE IT IN A 2 PRONGED SHAVER ADAPTOR 1 amp FUSE !

" THIS PRODUCT IS NOT WORKING "

AM I BLOWING THE FUSE ?

SHOULD I PUT A LARGER FUSE IN TO WORK IN A 240 volt SUPPLY

MANY THANKS .................. Chas

1) cut the french plug off it and fit a UK plug with a 13 Amp fuse

2) Press here

agreed change the plug. i strongly advise against using adaptors for long term use.

if you must use an adaptor than (assuming the iron has a hybrid schuko/french plug) get an adaptor that can handle the current and properly earth it e.g. http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=22928&TabID=1&QV=Y&C=EBook&U=Ecat

if its a french only (earth hole but no positions for side clips) then you will find it very hard to get a suitable adaptor.

do not use shaver adaptors for anything other than shavers and tiny appliances fitted with europlugs (pic of a europlug below)
