I want to get rid of the ceiling pull switch over the bed & just keep the normal wall switch by the door.
The pull switch is wired - single red. yellow & black together. red & blue together.
The wall switch just has separate red, yellow & blue.
Obviously the power source is to the ceiling switch that I want to lose.
I plan to put a junction box in the loft in place of the ceiling switch but what wires do I connect together?

at the switch

put thre yellow at the top, and a choc bloc on the red

in your jb

connect as it is, except put the red on a spare termianal

In JB, put the yellow and the black into one terminal, and the other three cables into another terminal. Earths in a terminal aswell.

This may make your wall switch operate upside down depending how it is wired. You can either simply turn it around on the wall, or move the red cable(of the 3core) from the terminal with the red and blue to the terminal with the yellow and black.
