I have had a look through a lot of threads on this topic, but can't see one which exactly matches the situation we have here... old house meets old extension meets new extension.
Old floor (wooden floorboards), old extension (asphalt), new extension (mdf).
You can see from photo that they all meet as a point in the centre of the new room (old wooden floor boards have now been covered with concrete boards); and you can also see how far out the new floor is by following brickwork?
We had originally planned to tile the whole room before fitting new kitchen but tiler has advised that there is nothing more he can do... we should move our island across to cover that join and tile after kitchen?
That leaves us with too little room to the left of the island for the dining area so not keen on that idea at all - plus I'd wanted to tile whole floor for better finish/ ease of moving white goods out for maintenance etc?
Please could I ask for some advice and if anything can be done here?
